Courtney Ford Files for Divorce from Superman Star Brandon Routh After 17 Years

Report:Actress Courtney Ford has filed for divorce from her husband, actor Brandon Routh, after over 17 years of marriage. Ford, who is known for her role in Dexter, officially filed the divorce papers on Wednesday, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

The couple, who share a 12-year-old son named Leo, has not specified the exact date of their separation. Ford is requesting joint legal and physical custody of their son, while also seeking spousal support but has asked the court to deny any spousal support to Routh.

Ford and Routh's relationship began in 2004, and they married in 2007 at El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara, following a three-year courtship. Their marriage marked the culmination of more than two decades together. Routh, famous for his portrayal of Superman in Superman Returns, and Ford, known for her work in True Blood, Parenthood, and Supernatural, have both enjoyed successful careers in Hollywood.
