Karachi Police Officer Suspended for Allegedly Showering Rs. 60 Lakh at Qawali Night
A Karachi police officer has come under scrutiny after a viral video surfaced, showing him allegedly showering millions of rupees during a Qawali night in the city.
The officer, identified as Raja Khalid, was seen tossing piles of cash during the event, sparking outrage on social media platforms. The video, widely circulated on WhatsApp and other channels, led senior officials to take immediate notice.
Authorities have since ordered an inquiry into the incident and suspended Raja Khalid pending investigation. Social media users questioned the source of the money, with claims suggesting that the funds, amounting to over Rs. 60 lakh, might have been recovered during a recent police raid and allegedly misappropriated.
The ongoing investigation aims to determine whether the cash was part of official recoveries and if it was mishandled. The incident has raised serious concerns about the ethical conduct and accountability of law enforcement officers.
