North Korea Launches Multiple Short-Range Missiles Towards East Coast

North Korea conducted a series of short-range missile launches on Tuesday, according to South Korea's military. The missiles, fired around 9:30 a.m. local time (00:30 GMT), reportedly traveled up to 250 kilometers (155 miles) before landing in waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed that the launches were detected originating from North Korea's Jagang Province, as reported by the Yonhap news agency. This marks the latest in a series of missile tests conducted by Pyongyang amid ongoing regional tensions.
