The Pakistan Army has strongly rejected the Indian Army chief's baseless accusations of Pakistan being the "epicenter of terrorism." In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army labeled the claims as not only factually incorrect but also an attempt to divert global attention from India's brutal actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and its internal repression of minorities. The ISPR further stated that such remarks were an exercise in futility, blaming Pakistan for a reaction to India's state-sponsored violence.

The statement condemned the Indian Army chief’s remarks, calling them a form of extreme duplicity, aimed at distracting the world from the repression in Kashmir, hate-speech that fuels genocide, and human rights violations against Muslims and Kashmiris. The ISPR highlighted that the Indian military officer had personally overseen brutal repression in IIOJK and emphasized the politicization of the Indian Army’s leadership.

The ISPR also reminded that the international community is well aware of India’s oppressive tactics, including trans-national repression and forced assassinations. It was noted that such actions have only strengthened the resolve of Kashmiris to fight for their right to self-determination as outlined in the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The statement further questioned why India continued to fabricate accusations of terrorism against Pakistan instead of acknowledging the reality, especially considering that a senior Indian military officer had been caught in Pakistan while orchestrating terrorist acts. Pakistan urged India to adopt a more civilized, professional approach, guided by state-to-state norms rather than political motivations.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Office also issued a statement rejecting the baseless assertions made by India's Defence Minister and Army Chief. It reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir remains a disputed territory under international law, whose final status is to be determined according to the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The FO also criticized India's rhetoric, saying it could not divert international attention from the grave human rights violations taking place in IIOJK.

Pakistan emphasized that provocative statements like these were detrimental to regional peace and stability, with the Foreign Office underscoring that India has no legal or moral claim over Azad Jammu and Kashmir or Gilgit-Baltistan. India’s claims were dismissed as fictitious, with Pakistan reiterating the importance of addressing the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
